Springtime has arrived! Along with it, the promise of better weather. It's been lovely here on the Central Coast in Australia, and we are looking forward to longer days, sun and the warmth that we love!
However, Termites are more active in the warmer months too, we aren't the only ones that get more active as it warms up! So what can you do?
Make sure you don't have timber lying around your home and be ever vigilant for mud tubes.
Spring is also termite swarm season, as it warms up the Termites release "Alates" which are winged reproductives, these fly out of the colony and look for warm, moist places with suitable food to start a new colony. It's best not to have these conditions around your home! Keep your garden clean and free from damp, mulched areas and hopefully you'll have a termite free Summer!
If you're worried, then we recommend an inspection. It will not only tell you if there are termites in your home, but let you know what needs to be done to help prevent termites living near your home, and getting in your home!
