Part of a good termite inspection involves checking trees for signs of termite activity. Whilst drilling trees to investigate is normally not part of a standard visual inspection, (that's usually a more invasive secondary inspection) it's amazing what can be found during a "tyre kicking" visual inspection of surrounding trees. Particularly when we're talking arboreal nests (that's fancy talk for a nest on or in a tree) which can be clearly visible as you can see in the photos.
